THIS is the Main Entrance to LAHS?
During demolition and transformation and rebuilding of all of B, C, D and half of A wings at LASH, this was the main entrance...in the back of the building. THINGS ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE. The taped paper sign now says, "No Access." So, now what?

Backyard Piñon Jay Invasion
Took a short Thanksgiving vacation from posting pictures. I'm still looking for anyone wanting to take over Los Alamos Daily Photo. Between work and having posted over 400 photos, I sometimes run out of pictures. However, this is only part of 20 Piñon Jays in the backyard.

Tunnel Under Diamond Drive
After surrounding walls were engineered to slow flash floods and prevent erosion, the tunnel under the landfill bridge was widened to allow water to pass through without damaging Diamond Drive above.

Pueblo Canyon Brigde? Dam?
Landfill "bridge" where Diamond Drive crosses Pueblo Canyon. After Cerro Grande Fire in 2000, it was deemed unsafe. It is neither a dam nor a bridge. So, some engineering and construction needed to be done to protect it from damage due to flash flooding.(I assume the recent Las Conchas fire would have triggered the same construction had it not been done after 2000).

New Municipal Building Foundation
The previous municipal building was built in a hurry by federal government in the 60s I think. It's foundation proved unstable and the two story building was condemned.Currently the county government is scattered around town in portable structures. (Los Alamos is a Home Rule county. City and county are one.) Hopefully, this new foundation is much much more stable.

Three Yolk Egg
Is this good luck or bad? From PoultryHelp.com The record is 9 yolks. Many of the largest/heaviest eggs are multi-yolked. Except from winning the lottery jackpot, nothing lucky or unlucky happened as a result of eating this egg other than I lost the lottery ticket.

County Special Trash Pickup
Lots of thinning done on this property and piled along the street. Similar scenes around town occur every quarter when the County comes around with its big "claw" and picks up clean up piled on the curb. In addition to brush and tree limbs, you can see from appliances, to junk, to xylophones (broken). I was going to take a picture of my "trach," but the "claw" got their first.
